About Champions League- Inside Champions League

Welcome to the Champions League.  Whether this is your introduction to the league or you have been with us from the beginning, I hope this brief outline of our origins, evolution, and future is helpful.  If you have an interest in joining in 2007, please continue to our main website or call for more information.

Four years ago, the Michigan Champions League (MCL) kicked off play with five (5) u12 teams playing out of Grand Rapids, MI.  With steady growth each season, the MCL has ballooned to over one hundred and forty (140) teams competing in nineteen (19) divisions.  The league has also expanded geographically.  In the past two years a greater number of teams have joined from Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois prompting us to change our structure.  Starting in the spring of 2007, the MCL will become a division within the newly named USA Champions League.

Immediately, the Champions League will have two levels of competition- the Midwest Premier and Michigan Premier.  Both will offer multiple divisions allowing league results to be a factor in promotion and relegation.

As a US Club Soccer team, you will have the opportunity to play for state, regional, and national championships.  You will also experience a simple, effective, and flexible registration process.  As a member of the Champions League, you will always be welcomed and treated in a courteous manner.  You will not be fined into submission nor will you  be required to jump through hoops or fill out an exorbitant amount of paperwork.  To be succinct, we are a league that works for you not against you.  We find reasons to say yes!

As the name USA Champions League implies, we are open to expanding into geographical areas that make sense.  If your club or league is interested in joining the Champions League, give us a call to discuss the many benefits.

Thanks for your continued support!

Sincerely,

Abrahm Shearer

President

USA Champions League
